“The Green Card” is a dark urban fairy tale. After losing their Green Card, Alex, a transfemme immigrant in New York, becomes invisible to almost everyone. When a lonely child can see them, Alex discovers that what marks them as other may also become a source of power.

The film was made through an AI-assisted animation workflow based on my original drawings, character designs, script, and shot planning. All scenes were directed, selected, edited, and finished by me; the film reflects an authored visual approach rather than fully automated generation.

This film was born from a story I originally developed for a short horror comic as part of the Comics Genre and Digital Drawing classes at Boston University. Below are my original sketches (with a different main character design at that time) and later character design sketches :
